CPR and First Aid

Can your company comply with the OSHA requirement 1926.50(c) for a 3-4 minute response time to a medical facility? If not, you need a person on-site trained in first aid and CPR. Your employees will learn:

  • Breathing emergencies including Adult CPR
  • Basic First Aid
  • How to handle medical emergencies, burns, rescue techniques and how to treat for shock and exposure
Class size is limited to 15 students per session.

CPR certification is good for one year, First Aid certification is good for three years.

10 Hour OSHA Competence Course

OSHA requires a competent person on all jobsites. This course ensures that your people have the necessary training to comply with OSHA standard CFR 1926.32(f) for a competent person.

30 Hour OSHA Competency Course

OSHA requires a competent person on all job-sites. This training will give your foremen, supervisors or safety directors the expertise to comply with all OSHA requirements. This is an in-depth look at CFR 1926 and 1910 as they affect construction

In addition to the construction standards this course also covers:

  • OSHA Reporting
  • Recordkeeping
  • How to conduct on-site safety audits
  • How to organize and put your safety committee on track

Forklift Training

The OSHA standard 29CFR1926.602(d) [29CFR1910.178(1)], requires employees who operate forklifts be trained in both the classroom and through a practical exercise on the type of equipment that they will be running in the field. Employees are to be retrained when the employee is observed operating the equipment in an unsafe manner, involved in an accident or near miss, tasked with a different type of equipment, or a condition in the workplace changes in a manner that could affect the safe operation of the lift. Also, an evaluation of each forklift driver's performance shall be conducted at least once every three years.

At the end of this course an employee will meet the requirements for the classroom training. Evaluation on the actual operation of the equipment will still be required.

This course is a train the trainer course which will allow you to have key people in your company certified to train your operators. Thereby saving you time and expense.

This program is the MCAA (Masonry Contractor's Association of America) program.

Fall Protection

Fall from elevations and falling objects are one of the leading causes of construction injuries and fatalities.

According to 29 CFR1926.503(a)(1), employers are to provide employees with a training program that enables them to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. Does your safety program meet the requirements?

This four (4) hour training course will make your employees aware of:

  • All types of ladders, scaffold and aerial lifts
  • Controlled access zones
  • Guard rail systems
  • Personal fall arrest systems
  • Safety nets
  • How to set up protective standards
  • How to spot hazards at the job-site

Scaffold Erectors Training Course

According to 29CFR1926.454(a), the employer shall have each employee who performs work while on a scaffold trained by a person qualified in the subject matter to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards. Are all of your employees trained appropriately?

Training Includes:

  • How to set up a scaffold
  • Modify a scaffold
  • How to work on a scaffold
  • How to set up handrails
  • How to tear down a scaffold

Excavation and Trenching

According to 29CFR192.651(k)(1), daily inspections are to be made by a competent person for evidence of a situation that could result in possible cave-ins, indications or failure of protective systems, hazardous atmospheres, or other hazardous conditions.

This 4-hour Training will Cover:

  • How to classify soil
  • Implement protective systems
  • Understand the requirements of the standard
