On May 14, 2015 ABC Diversity committee members David Goett and Theresa Ptacek attended Career Day at Rose Hill Elementary School in Omaha. Dave and Theresa spoke to over fifty students, ages 10 to 12, about the construction industry. During the presentation, each student was given a plastic softee yellow construction helmet and a packet that was addressed to the parents of each student. The packet was filled with information about the variety of construction trades, education, training and earning potential. Many of the kids were engaged and expressed an interest in pursuing a rewarding career in construction. ABC will also be attending a career day at Wilson Focus School on Tuesday, June 2nd with an opportunity to meet with eighty students. Anyone interested in participating in career days in Omaha, please contact Theresa in the Omaha office at 402-344-4258.
