As the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) continue to propose rules that will create new burdens on already struggling small businesses, ABC is offering a free webinar, “Coping With the New Pro-Union Rules From the NLRB and USDOL,” Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. (ET).
ABC General Counsel Maury Baskin will update ABC members on the status of the following new and unprecedented rules that have been announced by the NLRB and DOL this past summer, such as:
NLRB’s final rule requiring employers to display new posters in every workplace encouraging employees to support union organizing;
NLRB’s proposed rule that will dramatically shorten the time frame for union organizing elections, making it much harder for employers to defend their businesses or communicate with their employees; and
USDOL’s game-changing plan to revise the so-called “persuader” reporting requirements, which will make it harder for employers to get much-needed labor relations advice from chapters, lawyers and others.
These proposed rules affect all ABC chapters and their members. ABC is encouraging owners, senior-level managers, project managers, human resources professionals, and ABC chapter presidents, attorneys and staff to attending.
Registration is free for all ABC members. For more information or to register, click here.
