This fall Senator Smith addressed the networking luncheons about the Keystone Pipeline and legislation he planned to introduce to prohibit jurisdictions in Nebraska from mandating a PLA on public projects.  He outlined several hurdles that would have to be overcome to accomplish this.

To date the Senator has been successful in introducing the bill (LB 975-Fair Bidding Bill), gathering key sponsors and over coming some issues in the reference committee to have the bill referenced to the Government and Military Affairs Committee.  So far this session he has been successful!  The next step in the process is the committee hearing.
