REGISTERED APPRENTICESHIP
The ABC apprenticeship program is approved by the Department of Labor, Office of Apprenticeship (OA). This valuable benefit entitles ABC member employers to officially register craft trainees who are simultaneously working in the trade and attending related classroom instruction. The cost to initiate this process is $50.00. Students need to complete an Enrollment form and employers fill out an Employer Participation agreement . The Cornhusker Chapter of ABC is responsible for the administration and supervision of the apprenticeship standards . The obligations of the employer consists of completing the forms in the Apprentice packet. Select from the following trades to continue with the registration process for apprentices.

After all the paperwork is completed, we can register the apprentice electronically through the OA Rapids system. Contractors performing work on federal contracts may use percentages of prevailing wage to determine hourly rates for registered apprentices. Please e-mail Theresa with inquiries.

The training at the ABC Cornhusker Chapter is open to anyone interested in joining the industry whether the student works for a member or a non-member company. With the skilled labor shortage, we feel any one willing to work should be given the opportunity to learn.
Instructors are journey people in the trades selected from area companies, both members and non members. Viable candidates attend the instructor certification training program (ICTP).
Blended Learning Program
This is an exciting combination of technology and traditional classroom learning which is valuable and practical.
