Apprenticeship and Craft Training


The Cornhusker Chapter of ABC is addressing the need for skilled labor in the construction industry through its comprehensive apprenticeship and craft training program. Recruitment to the training program is extensive, targeting many of the minority agencies and groups in the area. The program is approved by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training and is accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and Research.

Training is held in two locations: Omaha and Lincoln.


Computer Training


Computer Training is available periodically throughout the year. The participant has access to a computer enabling greater learning from hands-on experiences.


Continuing Education: Management, Supervisory and Journeyman Upgrade Training


Seminars, workshops and classes are held periodically through the year to assist management, supervisors and journeymen in their pursuit of excellence. Although classified here into three categories, the classes are available and useful for any individual in a company who can gain from what is offered.


School to Work


ABC is very active in seeking and developing partnerships with high schools offering a career path to the construction industry.
